It is an antique market to be held in Kiryu Tenmangu, the starting point of Kiryu’s main road. About 80 or more shops are opened and this market is counted as the best 3 antique market in Kanto (the remaining two are Tokyo Togo Shrine and Kawagoe Antique City). It seems that Kiryu has many kimono and textile products. Products of any genre are attracting people. It will be held on the second Monday in January, so please be careful as it may not be held in November.

In the Edo era, silk market held in Tenmangu Shrine was called “Sayaichi”, and in the Meiji era, the property trading place (so-called “Kaiba”) was moved to the present place and It began to call “Kaibasayaichi”. Currently it is not the original venue, it is held in the premises of an old private house close to Kiryu Tenman-gu Shrine. The number of stalls and participants that sell textile products, household goods, local gourmet etc. are increasing. If you enjoy shopping for a while, you should be singing “Sayaichi Ondo” even after leaving the site.

Kiryu RakuichiKiryu Rakuichi Market
It is a flea market held on the first Saturday of every month at Honcho 3-chome near the congress district. A lot of different items are arranged from kimono, antique items, ceramics and foods, depending on the shop, and when there are many store openings, it is over 80 stores. Just watch the items lined up on both sides of the street so you can enjoy it, please try walking.
